The bus station «Sayahat « (a corner of avenue Suyunbai and avenue Rayinbek) is opened in 1967. It accepts and sends the buses connecting Almaty with Chilik, Narynkol and other regional centers of Almaty region. »Sayahat» — one of the largest bus stations in the Central Asia and the CIS. Today it serves 56 international, intertown, suburb and 15 commercial routes.
On regional lines comfortable buses with capacity from 32 up to 45 passengers work.
50 autocarriers are partners of bus station. «Sayahat» has bus communication with cities Urumchis and Inin (Peoples Republic of China), Bishkek, Tashkent, Shymkent, Taraz, Ust Kamenogorsk, etc. Additional trips to Karaganda, Uch-Ural, village Kujgan are opened.
During the summer period seasonal routes up to Cholpon — Ata, Karakol, Alakol and other popular resting places actively function.
On the average the volume of passenger traffic is made 4,5 thousand person a day.
